30 Minute Grocery Bag Pattern

Fast, fun and easy 30 Minute Grocery Bag Pattern! By the E-Pattern NOW!

We all love bags and we all hate those plastic bags we get at the local supermarket. They are roomy but they rip and tear and don’t hold up very well.

You might also have noticed the many reusable bags for sale at your local stores. Many of them are unappealing to me. If I am going to spend a dollar or two or more on something I have to use each and every week I want it to look good, be fun and stylish, big and roomy too!

Another thing with bags is that they are usually big and bulky and take up so much space. Sometimes you just want to pick up a few things on the way home from work and you never remember to bring those big bulky bags. Not anymore! Just tuck these little babies in your purse and you are ready any time.

I have designed a simple bag that folds up to a compact little square (about 5 inches) that you can simply toss in your purse, oh heck toss 2 in and shop with your own reusable bags in a stylish, compact and convenient way.

You can make them up to suit your style, personalize them, make them with a pocket for those little things you want quick at hand. They make great gifts, you can also make them for the men in your life.

Make them with a solid color inside or another printed lining fabric so the inside is as fun as the outside.

They are great for kids too! A great little bag to carry things in. Kids always have lots of things to carry around.

And if you are into helping with a Greener Earth then these little bags will help you do your part one Cute Little Grocery bag at a time.

They are also a great way to use up some of those funky fabric you have sitting around. They even look good in vintage fabrics, kind of reminds me of the old feed sacks.

And work just as well without pockets.

Great design. I have made a few changes and think I’ll do some more in my next bag. It is a great pattern and I truly love how it turned out.
Would love to post a pic of the bag if you have any flickr group or around here. I made this first one for my kid with Cars movie fabric and it looks fantastic!
