About Patterns

All my patterns are in PDF format. Why you ask?

Because it’s the next best thing to being right there with you to show you every step of the way.

I can share with you my thought process, show you what I do and why. Talk about the right fabrics for the project, talk about thread choices and most of all show you what I do, what I use and how I do it. The most important word in this paragraph is “SHOW YOU” (ok so that’s two words).

Printed patterns are limiting,

  • because of cost they only allow me to show you so much
  • you get a few diagrams and lots of words.
  • they can leave you wondering what to do

The benefits of digital files

  • low cost
  • I can show you EVERYTHING! there is no limit
  • they are available immediately after purchase
  • no extra shipping charges
  • you get more for your dollar
  • tons of photos can be included at no extra cost
  • seeing what to do increases your abilities and confidence

It’s kind of like getting me to be your personal tutor. I get all my stuff together, come over to your place and sit down with you for a personal session to show you what to do. What could be better!!! And if you even have any questions you can just email me and I will help you.

And if there is something I can do to make a pattern better for you, then let me know.

Because these patterns are all about you, about teaching you new things, fun things that you can have fun making. I want you to enjoy them, so it is important to me that they work for you!

Teaching is a process that evolves, and patterns are no different. It’s the sharing of information from me to you and feedback from you to me that makes a better product. I want you to have a better product!

The patterns are easily viewed by having the free Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. That is all it take to view the pattern files.

I will be releasing many new patterns this year, just as fast as I can get them together I will make them available to you. If you would like to know about them as they become available then you can subscribe to this blog, because I will announce them here.

You can also sign up for my Studio-259 Mail List or if you are specifically interested in beginner sewing projects and patterns then you will want to sign up for my Sewing for Beginnners/Kids Korner mailing list you don’t want to miss any of the great projects that are coming.
