Batik Fabrics

September 9th, 2007 · 1 Comment

I love batiks! I look for great fabrics I can use when I design my funky bags. And of course shopping is always easier when you can see them in person and get a feel for scale and size of the designs on the fabrics.

I have pretty much shopped out the stores in my local area and so I love going to quilt shows so I can get some new stash.

Today at the PNQE show there were lots of vendors and I always find a few things here and there that arent in my stash. But as I rounded the last corner of my trek thru the show I came upon this booth full of batiks of all sorts I had never seen before. They are Sew Batik  they have a fantastic assortment of batiks, a great assortment of small patterned batiks good for use in my bags and even offer 108″ inch wide batiks in fantasitc patterns and colors for your quilt backs.

I also learned that the reason that I havent seen their batiks anywhere before is because they design their own fabrics, have them printed and sell them direct to you. They dont wholesale their fabrics out to other shops. SO it was a treat, a real treat to find so many new goodies

If you love batiks, want something new, they have an extensive selection on their website. And if you wan some batik flannel they have some very very nice flannel that you are sure to love.  Go check them out you will be delighted!
