I want your opinions

February 22nd, 2008 · No Comments

I have some questions and I would like to ask all of you for your opinion.

I am trying to think ahead as to the kinds of classes and patterns I want to develop and I would like input from everyone. You can either respond to me on this blog or email me privately at info@studio-259.com, but i would love to hear from as many people as possible if I can.

Here are some questions and any thoughts you have would be helpful to me.

  • Would you take one of my bag classes, if not what stops you beside the cost?
  • Do you feel you cant make one of these bags because they seem to difficult, or take too much time?
  • Is the fact that there is a lot of quilting to these designs something that scares you?
  • What kinds of things would you like to see in the way of fun bags that might be different than my current funky designs?
  • Are you looking for things along the same lines that are simpler?
  • If I offered the pattern or class with a simpler version (with less of the free motion quilting) and an advanced version (with all the textural quilting) would that appeal to you ?
  • If I were to offer a free class to make a funky bag where I walked you thru all the steps, showed you how to do all the textural stitching with pictures , instructions and short videos where necessary, would you take this FREE class?
  • Would taking this class make you want to try other Studio-259 bag designs.

I love to sew and I love to share what i know. When I started my business I wanted to offer something different and I also wanted to present it in such a way that people who have never done this type of quilting before would have fun trying new things. ANd I want to encourage people to play outside the box. That was my inspiration.

I also make up my patterns and classes with extensive information, more so than most patterns out there because I want to inspire people to take that extra step and I want to give them all the info and tools to do it. I want you to be successful. If I could come to your house and walk you thru it I would.

With that thought in mind I am considering putting together a new free class to inspire people and help them expand their sewing and quilting boundaries.   I am interested in any feedback you give, it would be helpful in determining how it all comes together.

Please I do want your opinions, so let me have it!!! :)
