Moving my studio

August 18th, 2007 · No Comments

I have been busy these last few days moving my studio to a different room in my house. I guess you could say I out grew my old one. Can’t imagine it was all that fabric and supplies I bought!!!

It all started a few weeks ago when I was talking with my daughter who innocently suggested that I trade my studio room with another room in the house. Believe it or not, all these years that hadn’t occurred to me. Until the other day when I found myself sitting in my old studio feeling cramped and crowded and not at all happy with the space anymore. So I decided that was the day to move.

Well what a job that turned out to be!!! My daughter helped and she kept saying all day long, as I filled up the new larger room, I don’t know how you squeezed all this stuff into that little room. It was kind of like stuffing way to much in your suitcase and then when you open it, it explodes and takes over enough space to fill 2 suitcases, you dont know how you ever got it into one!

That was the case here, as I filled up this new room, it was hard to see how it all squeezed into a small space. I found things I havent seen in a long time, I have a bigger work table to use and all my supplies are at hand and not buried somewhere. It still needs some reorganizing but for now its clean and together.

All my muscles ache, it would have been easier to move to a new house than move rooms inside one, everything was everywhere, trying to get things in a room only to move them so we could get other things out. WHAT A JOB! but well worth it.

So in a day or so when I get some energy back I will be thrilled to get back to work. I am also counting down the last days till school starts “9″ and I will have much more time to get stuff done.
