My little corner of the world

October 8th, 2007 · No Comments

My private little corner of the world. I have always wanted a big ol’ bed and now I finally have one. And I have always wanted a beautiful quilt on that big ol’ bed and I finally have that too!

This is my room and that wonderful quilt is handmade by me, just a simple shoofly pattern, I love simple traditional quilts.

I cannot take credit for all the fantastic quilting, that was done by my good friend Linda. I dont quilt really big quilts so I had it quilted by someone who is far better at that than me. And this quilt was more closer to king size because the bed is so high and the mattress so thick I needed a quilt that was larger than the traditional queen size.

Every square has a different design quilted into it, circles, swirls, leaves, it’s just amazing!

and in a few places around the quilt are little surprises quilting into the design

like this adorable little lizard and cactus. This quilt is wonderful and I will cherish it and now I have something that fits on my big ol’ bed.
