This fun little bag sports a multitude of adorable ladybugs! Who doesnt love ladybugs.Every year at my house we have what we lovingly call Ladybug Day! It usually happens for one day some time late september when the front of our old stone farmhouse is covered in tons of ladybugs. I had never seen anything like it before. This day inspired my quilt Ladybug Day and this bag.The design works its way around the entire bag. The dimensional stitching really compliments this bag well. A great bag to make and carry. This will be a 3 lesson online class! Where you will learn to design the bag, step by step instructions and photos on sewing the decorative stitching, that makes this bag so quaint. The fmq is easy and fun to do. This will be a fun class whether you are a seasoned sewer or new to the world of FMQ (free motion quiting)!I wrote a little poem to go with the quilt.

Ladybug Day Poem

Ladybug, ladybug where are you today,The days grow long and winter is on its wayThe leaves on the trees are beginning to fallyour journey is so long for one so small.May the wind bring you swiftly to this place where I waitfor the day that you come,to me, is so greatYou bring all your friends and you fill up the walland I am so happy to sit and watch you allAs you crawl and you search for your winter spaceI hope you will find a cozy little placeIn this old house to rest till springwhen the flowers grow and the birds sing. Then the wind will call and you will go on your wayI’ll see you again next ladybug day!Apparently Ladybugs search for a place to be for winter and this house just happens to be a stop along the way! I love ladybugs!

Cute bag, I love ladybugs too! I found your blog link while searching for info on the Precencia threads, was wondering whether or not to try the 35wt rayon - you’ve convinced me they’re worth a try. I LOVE your cat sacks on Joggles! These are too cool, wish I could afford the class right now but will save my pennies for the next one you offer. Thanks, Ann in Wilmington, NC

A tip on the La Paleta rayon Presencia threads - www.sewthankful.com has a sale on them thru 10/31 only .99 for a 100m spool - a good way to try them if you haven’t - I purchased 20 spools last night! Can’t wait to try them! :-D Ann in NC

    Annie

thanks for sharing the Presencia sale at Sew Thankful. I just love this thread!

It’s such a pleasure to sew with, by hand and by machine. No thread breakage, beautiful colors.

I was using the perle cottons today on a cat sack I am making and I just love the bit of extra thickness it gives to quilted items.

If you havent tried presencia you should go check them out. I love the cottons as well as the rayons. You will be so glad you did!
