I just have to write and tell you about this great thread. Presencia threads are wonderful to work with. I have been busy playing with them most of the weekend. As a matter of fact my new Ladybug bag was sewn using these threads. I used the cotton, rayon and finca perle cotton threads.

The perle cotton is the one that comes in the little balls. And it is such a beautiful thread. You can use it to create dimension and texture that stands out. Click on the ladybug picture to see a larger view. The flowers were sewn with the perle cotton, and it comes in so many luscious colors too! I just want them all. I love being able to create such dimension with thread. The grass was sewn with the cotton and rayon threads, also wonderful to sew with and they really show up well. It was so much fun to sew with and it is such high quality thread your machine will love it too.

The Finca Perle cotton balls come in 5 different thread sizes and in 5 and 10 gram balls. And one of those little balls does quite a bit of quilting. I used them on the Ladybug Bag and after a good deal of quilting I still have some left.

Size 16 is the one you would use in your sewing machine. It comes in 123 luscious colors and 33 variegated colors and they are so much fun to play with. All Presencia threads are made from 100% egyptian cotton and are the favorite thread here at Studio-259.

Presencia 5o wt cotton threads come in 182 colors . This is the one I used for my quilting. (also comes in 40 and 60 wt and in 100m and 500m spools) Again a fantastic thread to sew and quilt with. The 60 wt comes highly recommended for perfect seam allowances, it’s super fine and strong too.

I used the 50 wt in quilting my bags and I love the results! I can’t wait till my new order arrives and I get to play with more colors.

They even have a great rayon thread called La Paleta, of course I hope they come out with more colors, this adds that tinge of shinyness to my quilted works.

I used a combination of all three threads on my ladybug bag, I love mixing it up! The perle cotton was really fun, it was the most dimensional, but a mixture of all three really added interest to this adorable little bag. Together they all made for great texture and dimension. And they worked so well in my machine. It was a pleasure to sew with such high quality threads.

So if you would like to sew with some great thread then you have to try Presencia.
