Supporting your troops this holiday season

December 12th, 2007 · No Comments

There are so many military service men and women and there families who are giving their all for their country and there are many ways you can show your support.

I am writing this to tell you of one way.   Thru Operation Kid Comfort by purchasing the Fabled Fibers Calenders.

Operation Kid Comfort is a nationally recognized and award-winning program that provides photo-transfer comfort quilts and pillows to America’s littlest heroes, the children of our deployed service men and women, and an opportunity for all Americans to unite in support of our troops. Please purchase Fabled Fibers products to keep that support strong.

Earlier this year quilts aritst got together for the Fabled Fibers Quilt Art Challenge

Through Fabled Fibers:  Art Quilt Enchantments, fifty members of the Quilt Art community have relived these childhood fantasies to offer you a visual feast of their favorite stories.   Displayed in our galleries, these quilts illustrate fairy tales, folk stories, fables and even some original stories written by the artists themselves.  Each quilt is an individual work of art, utilizing a variety of fiber arts techniques and embellishments.  Go ahead, wander through the images and click on each one to capture a magical moment as you view the details of the artwork.

Some of these works were then compiled into a Fabled Fibers Calender that is available for purchase and each sale provides support to Operation Kid Comfort and other ASYMCA children’s programs.

So support the families of our service people and buy a calender for a gift for someone special this year.
